Who is T. Kevin Wilson?

Did life throw you a lemon?   Then make lemonade.

T. Kevin Wilson is an aggressive and successful Virginia DUI/ DWI, Criminal and Traffic Defense Lawyer who has used his extensive education, training and experience to help thousands of good people do just that, and make the best out of an unfortunate set of circumstances.  If you have been arrested and accused of committing a crime, or if you have been given a ticket / summons, in order to achieve the best result T. Kevin Wilson may be the lawyer you need.

Kevin was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, and he graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Legal Studies, before receiving his law degree, with honors, cum laude, from the Syracuse University College of Law.  Being from the heart of the Bluegrass Region, Kevin found the upstate New York winters harsh, so after law school he moved to Richmond, Virginia where he studied for, and passed, the Virginia State Bar Exam.  Kevin then moved to Manassas, Virginia, began fighting for his clients and began what is an impressive legal career.

Unlike many lawyers who try to be "jack-of-all-trades" lawyers, Kevin's law practice is limited to the defense of those accused of Criminal offenses and Traffic violations.  If you have been injured on the job or in an accident, of if you need a lawyer to assist you with a divorce, a dispute over a debt, a breach of contract claim, a child support/ spousal support issue, etc.. The Law Office of T. Kevin Wilson is not the firm you need.
However, if you have been arrested and charged with DUI / DWI or some other crime, whether misdemeanor or felony, or if you have been given a ticket / summons for Reckless Driving because you were speeding or because you were in an accident, or for some other alleged violation of law, The Law Office of T. Kevin Wilson may be the law firm you need to make a difference in the outcome of your case.  Kevin has successfully defended thousands of folks in the Virginia courts who have been accused of crimes and offenses ranging from Illegal Parking to Murder.  Perhaps he can help you, too.

Kevin built a thriving DUI / DWI, Criminal and Traffic Defense practice by honestly, tenaciously and zealously serving his clients.  Although his office is located in Old Town Manassas, clients from all across Virginia charged with DUI / DWI come seeking his help, presumably at least in part both because his impressive and extensive education, training and experience in the realm of DUI / DWI defense is matched by few, and because he enjoys an excellent reputation as an aggressive and successful DUI / DWI Defense lawyer.  A member of the National College for DUI Defense, Kevin recognizes the many complex issues encountered in the complicated area of DUI / DWI defense and he demonstrates his dedication to remaining on the cutting edge of DUI / DWI defense in Virginia by devoting the time, money and energy to regularly attend advanced national conferences specifically devoted to these issues.

In DUI / DWI cases, two of the most persuasive pieces of evidence used at trial are the performance on field sobriety tests and the result of the breath or blood test.  Thus, in my opinion, it seems obvious that you should insist that your DUI / DWI Defense lawyer at least be trained in both of these areas.

Kevin completed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) / International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) course on the proper administration of the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests in 2004, and as part of his continuing effort to be at the forefront of DUI / DWI defense, he took the course again in 2007.

In addition to being trained on the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, T. Kevin Wilson is trained as an Operator on both the Intoxilyzer 5000 breath testing machine - the only evidentiary breath test machine currently used in Virginia, and the newer Intoxilyzer 8000.  Kevin even took the extraordinary step of purchasing his own breath test devices:  he owns two Intoxilyzer 5000 machines and several preliminary breath test machines including the Alco-Sensor IV and Intoxilyzer S-D5.

In addition to forming the cornerstone of a successful law practice, Kevin's advocacy, integrity and reputation led to him being employed as a Legal Instructor at the Prince William County Criminal Justice Academy for more than eleven years.  In that capacity, Kevin taught Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Constitutional Law and Evidence to law enforcement recruits with the Prince William County Police Department, the Prince William County Sheriff's Department, the United States Marine Corps, as well as a few other agencies and departments.  Lastly, in addition to establishing and growing his own law practice, and teaching cadets at the local criminal justice academy, Kevin has also served as a Special Prosecutor at the request of the Commonwealth's Attorney - an undisputable endorsement of his talent, intelligence and integrity by those in the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney.
